please help me. I don't know what type of scars I have or in what way to treat them. I don't have alot of money but I'm desperate and will do ANYTHING and suffer all types of pain to rid myself of these. and my scars are weird as well because they are almost like a tunnel system. where two scars will be connected under the skin with a tiny tunnel. I can put a safety pin between them under my skin almost like a piercing. I'm new to this and have tried microdermabrasion with some type of laser when I was much younger. I'm 30 now and at the end of my rope and can't handle having my face look like this anymore. please help!!! thank u in advance and God bless. PS I was thinking maybe some tca at home peels would work with 25% but Idk. I wouldn't be able to.have more than a week in downtime either. but as long as I don't look like a monster after the week is up, I'm willing to suffer with some redness or peeling. thank u

Two words: Fraxel repair. Anything else wont work, you can try dermabrasion also, but from my research Fraxel Repair works the best, especially if you can get it done with Recell(not necessary).

I dont think youre scars look so bad, theyre moderate rather than severe and for whatever reason scars look better on some people and worse and others. You, I think, fall into the former group.

As for treatments, Im no expert in this area. Ive done very little myself aside from some self-needling which didnt seem to do much. There are a lot of different treatments on offer but you need to remember that there is no quick fix, magic bullet. Improving your scars will require a significant investment of time, effort and money and, if all goes well, the improvement may be significant.

Remember too that you may require more than one type of treatment to get the best results and because results tend to vary from person to person, you may also need to go through a process of trial and error before you find what works best for you. By all accounts it can be a frustrating and expensive process.

What you can do now is read through the threads on here that discuss the various treatments on offer like needling, lasers, subcision etc so as to get an idea of what might work for you. At the same time you could consult with one or more derms or plastic surgeons who have an expertise in treating acne scars and, once youve found one you are comfortable with, explore options with them.

Of course the other option, and Im starting to think its the best option, is to learn to accept your scars and to live with them. Believe it or not that is what most people with acne scarring do. Sites like this are for people like us who have an unusual and possibly unhealthy obsession with their scars.

Also, I might be wrong on this but your user name suggests you are a Christina man. If so, you would no doubt take comfort from 1 Samuel 16-17: For the Lord sees not as man sees. Man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.

Good luck.

Most of them are ice pick with a couple of boxcar. I would recommend TCA cross. You need at least six to see noticeable improvement. It's less invasive and usually less expensive than Repair.

Totally agree with the first part. He's ruggedly handsome and the scars add to his looks if anything from my perspective, but I know people like to get improvement for themselves not for others.

Ice pick scars.

I reccomend CO2 at highest seeting or Fraxel re:pair at a high setting.

Fraxel Repair or Deep FX at the highest setting. I have done a ton of research and if you do that for multiple treatments, you should see significant improvement. That is my plan of action.
