Big Flakes?!

Should I be getting big flakes of skin on my chin even when I moisturize twice a day and apply BP only at night (i use eucerin moisturizer) redface.gif

Please reply

And I have little cuts where my nose meets my lip...I'm not sure how to describe it

Yeah that happened to me. I began to use bp only once a day and it was greatly reduced.

you really should be using 2.5% bp

however if are experiensing unacceptable dryness look at your cleansing routine also....that is where you can strip moisture from the skin.

* Cleanse for 10 seconds or less twice a day

* Apply water to your face only at these times....no standing with your face under the shower head for 5 minutes

* if you are using a soap product...consider swapping it for liquid cleanser eg: cetaphil, aquanil, olay foaming facial cleanser for sensitive skin. If you are using purpose soap definitely switch - seems that purpose is way too drying for some people.

I think the little cuts are because your skin is burned from the BP. It did it to me too around my nose and since I never had a pimple there, I stopped using any product there and its back to normal, no more redness or little cuts like you say. 5% is prolly too much for you
