I always suffered from acne ever since my young teens, and would get random deep pimples that would heal after a week or two. About a year ago I started taking antibiotics and my face cleared up for a little while. Then i started to form a cluster of bumps on my chin and corner of mouth area. I have had these bumps since october 2012, going on almost a full year.
I have tried minocycline doxycycline oral antibiotics and benzaclin cream and nothing seems to work. sometimes they will become more inflamed and then go down in size but they never heal much.
attached are photos, does anyone know what i could try next? my dermatologist isnt much help. could they be ingrown hairs that havent come up? Mind you I have had this issue, unchanged, for like 10 months.
Are they only on that side? And do they itch?
I would try a steroid topical like hydrocortisone or betamethasone.
If they're on both sides, there's a slight chance it could be perioral dermatitis, from toothpaste or somesuch
They do not itch, and its only mainly on this side. I have one less inflamed bump on the other side
