Would it make sense to use vaseline as a moisturizer on a very dry skin damaged by BP? Heard it can help but not sure what the effect would be!

Perhaps a night or two of Vaseline might give you some relief from severe dryness, but it really isn't suitable for using day and night. It's really thick and noticeable. And personally, it congests my skin way too much. Your mileage may vary. :)

Otherwise, here are more tips for managing dry skin. http://www.acne.org/faq.html#dry

Hope that helps.

I agree with Brandy said. Vaseline is very noticeable, and doesn't blend the best on skin. What I suggest is mixing a few drops of jojoba oil in your moisturizer. That really helps me with my flaking, and hydrates skin well without breaking it out.

Yes, I have noticed today that vaseline was too much for a day cream.......

Bottom line: Vaseline was a bad idea. I am still paying the price of applying it 2 or 3 times.

I had to use vaseline for a week and it actually helped my skin. My whiteheads purged and left, but now that I'm using Dan's moisturizer it seems like my whiteheads are extremely stubborn. It's not something you can't take outside, sucks because it completely moisturized my skin and got rid of all the stinging from bp.
