Just Got A .3Mm Dermaroller. Can I Use It On My Nose?

i saw a skincare specialist

and bought it from her after she showed me how to use it

it's dermaquest and she charged 130dollars

starting to think i couldve gotten it cheaper online

i also had to pay for a dermaquest collagen complex serum

can i just use a vitamin c serum instead?

i was told to roll twice a week

my scars are not deep at all, mainly just red and a few pitted areas

i have huge nose pores though that i was wondering if dermarolling could help with?

thanks

check the owndoc forum, there is something touchy about the nose area that Sarah V discusses - some respond well to treatment and some don't so go SLOW!

I have been derma stamping for some time now, and it definitely takes a few times before you feel like a pro, but my nose is not an issue...so go SLOW and see how it responds

I roll my nose all the time (with a .2nm). I don't have scars on my nose but it's definitely helped with my pore size and I find I have less blackheads.

ok thanks guys

thinking of getting a clarisonic brush

cuz my pores do look clogged

have no idea how one is supposed to remove that gunk tho

aside from exfoliating and stuff

i dont use that many products actually

just about 3

and the redness was before i did, which is what made me try to look for other stufff and try more things

my main are the face wash, exfoliator like 1-2 times per week (i dont use baking soda anymore actually, but when i did i oticed it worked quite well), and sunscreen during the day

the new serum i have has like glycolic acid, salycilic acid, and some other stuff

got some really good reviews actually, but apparently its alcohol content is kind of high

but im only using it on my nose and stuff, seems to be helping so far

might i be getting rosacea though? thought that was something you didnt get til ur older

maybe it's some type of folliculitis or something

or something to do with my food intake (an allergy perhaps)

does dermarolling twice a week sound fine?

i dont bleed and not really sure how long to do it, but i make it pretty pink, it's only .3mm

and what types of serums are best?

i realized i got ripped off by the aesthetician i saw

paid 130 for the dermaroller and 130 for the collagen mask serum

could you link me?

is dermastamping just pressing instead of rolling it?

what serums would you recommend

and also what mm needle are you using?

i saw the professional so she could show me how to use it, but there wasn't too much to it

just rolling, seemingly for however long one wanted (just changing directions and such)

i guess with a .3mm it doesnt really matter since the needle is small

should i be going almost to the point of bleeding?

and do you think twice a week is too much/little?

my acne scars are pretty mild btw

but my pores are pretty large on my nose

also does this work by thickening the skin a little?

i wouldnt want to thicken the skin of my nose

because it already seems to getting some kind of rosacea like thing that is making it slightly thicker and redder

print out the how to from the owndoc forum...I have the derma stamp and I wash my skin, and then stamp just each scar 5-6 times (it gets red and there is some minor pin point bleeding, but nothing dripping), then I immeadiately apply super CP serum (copper peptides work for me, but NOT for all so you need to test), then clean my stamp with a swish in dish detergent and water then a long soak in alcohol.

some use vitamin C serum after, but I use copper peptides

I use the 0.5mm stamp and do so about every week to 10 days...on the owndoc forum it says you can use a 0.25mm roller more frequently

Since my scars are so concentrated I use the derma stamp...but if you want to roll, there are many things on youtube that show you or again print out the howto from the owndoc forum.

You will be nervous the first few times, then it gets easier to do! You are very wise to start with a small needle length, go slow and the hardest thing of all is to be patient!

Pls update me how the dermaroller or stamp worked for your nose. I heard that nose skin has a very high risk. Starting with a low needle length is a very good decision. I also bought 0.3mm for my nose and temples and forhead. But mostly for product absorbtion.

i will update

im only gonna like press the dermaroller against the side of my nose

so probably wont do much

plus i dont want to thicken up the skin there

do you think a .3mm dermaroller is sufficient for acne scars?

mine are pretty shallow

Well, there IS a member who removed 95% of their scars with a 0.25mm roller + mesotherapy or massaging + TOpicals + Very healthy diet. The username is aquasea. Try reading his topic.

In my opinion, it depends on which part of your face. The cheeks need about 1.5mm or 1mm atleast. Forhead, temples need a shorter one cause the skin there is thinner. The nose.... It needs a very small needle size, like 0.25mm or 0.3mm but even then, it is still very risky.

i kinda rolled the sides of my nose

not really just pressed it against my nose really

and it's really rough now a few days later, like thickened and peeling

not sure if good or not

i wont touch my nose again, hope its not permanent

i also used retin a once there the day after

maybe that's y its peeling

my main scars are on my cheeks

so damn i need to get a bigger roller then

what's mesotherapy and all that

and do i need to buy vitamin c serum or make it

and what are copper peptide serums

Mesotherapy is a fancy term for facial massage.

Read aquasea's topic about massaging to eradicate scars.

Honestly, i dont know about vitamin c but i do know that beta-glucan might be more effective.

Go to gardenofwisdom.com and search beta glucan. You can research about it too.

Also, ive read articles that it is best not toput copper peptides after rolling. Just research it and youll find it.
