whoartthou1 44 Share Posted July 10, 2013 Hey guys, So I never really took an actual course of accutane (My course was basically 1.5 months of accutane, and I took it about 3 times a week, and each time I took about 20 mg). So in essence, My question is, how long should I wait till I get otoplasty? My ears bother me a lot because they stick out. Like Moonlight 176 Share Posted July 11, 2013 I would talk to a surgeon about this for a definite answer but I would think around 6 months you would be okay since you didn't do a full on accutane course. But I'd mention it to a surgeon before hand for sure. You could get a referral in the mean time and call the office and ask for the nurse of your doctor so he or she can talk to the doctor before you go in so your not wasting time ya know. I have a consultation this week so I will say what my surgeon says but since I took such a low dose, maybe I can have the surgery quicker. JJ 11 Share Posted September 12, 2013 I had otoplasty surgery after having taken 2 courses of Accutane. I am not 100% sure how long after my second course I had the surgery. Maybe a year.
