Hey Everyone! <3

Most of us are familiar with the most popular brand of oil blotting papers-Clean N Clear.......

The price ranges from around 4$-7$ for one pack.

They contain 50 sheets per pack - Each Sheet 5 x 8 cm (1.9 x 3.1 in.)

I don't know about you, but I need about ten to get my entire face blotted. Each is less than 2" by 3"? Are you kidding me? And my oily skin was so.... uh, productive, haha.... that I needed to continually re-blot my entire face about once every two hours. Obviously this would cause me to buy multiple packs and go through them rather frequently.

Now what I'm about to post is nothing new to a lot of you, but I wanted to share anyway with the hope it might help those who are frustrated with what™s available on the market¦.. and give them a much less expensive, yet just as effective way to help cope with oily skin.

All you need are a few things to create yours. Hit up your local dollar store for a large pack of gift wrapping tissue paper in whatever color(s) you prefer. The 1$ pack I bought contained 12 sheets, 6 purple and 6 green, each measuring 25" long by 9" wide. In addition to the tissue paper, you will want to have on hand:

-Scissors

-Clear plastic craft bags (Sold at Walmart in bulk packs of about 100 for around a couple bucks)

-Some kind of clip for securing the packs after folding them-you can use paper clips or binder clips or whatever you like that works.

Simply take a look at the pictures and adjust the measurements of your cutting as necessary. I like to have my packs contain a sizeable number of sheets that measure 25" long by 3" wide. I am able to blot the oil from my entire face using one.

Please feel free to hit me up with any questions!

*As a side note, if you are stuck without any blotting papers and there is a public restroom nearby, "toilet seat liners" sometimes in stalls will do the same trick. (sorry.... I know a lot of people are thinking EWW and that's understandable.... they come in a box and I'd assume they would not be too germy.... and will at least work for you if you have nothing else).

Another thing I like about making these is you can fold them so they fit conveniently into pockets and purses.

Cheers!

Love Jess

Thank you so much! Sorry If I went overboard with the pics! biggrin.png This is my first time on the board in ages and I think I finally got them straightened out and deleted the multiples.

Kudos to you for putting the effort in to make that guide. I would have simply said; get paper, cut up and use.

Thanks for the tip :)
