Hi everyone, I haven't posted for a long time but this past year, I've been having a lot of problems with these tiny bumps that keep forming on my forehead, cheeks, and on the sides of my face. Right now, I have the most on the side of my face. I have done many research on these bumps on acne.org and other websites and I have yet to find an exact description of the symptoms so I decided to start my own post.

So these bumps I've been having, they show a lot when direct sunlight hits it and I can feel them when I touch my face. They feel hard and forms in clusters. I've tried to extract them before. The ones that I managed to extract, has this hard substance that comes out. Hard pus? The color is kinda yellowish, greenish, whitish, lol I don't know but it's hard and it usually comes out as a whole. Then, there are other ones that won't budge when I tried to extract. The part of my skin that these bumps appear on looks kind of shiny/scaly, like the skin there is very dry or something.

I don't know if these appeared because of my face makeup(which I've been using for the past 3 years with no problem) or if it's because I've been overdrying my face. I've tried almost everything... retin-a, benzaclin, clindamycin, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid... etc.. nothing seems to get rid of these. It just makes the area very itchy and dry which I think causes even more bumps? A year ago, I'd only have a few bumps but since I've started to use these products, I've been getting more and everytime I stop using it, they still don't go away. I'm feeling very hopeless and frustrated right now because they just won't go away !!

I'm not sure if they formed because of overdried skin, acne cosmetica or if they're comedones... can someone please give me some advice as to what I should do to get rid of these ?? Any help or comments are appreciated! Thankss.

Hi,

It sounds like what I used to have: lots of tiny clusters of bumps along my hairline and forehead, filled with hard sebum. In my case, I got rid of it by washing my face with Nizoral shampoo- letting it sit on my face for 5 minutes before rinsing. In less than a week they had dried up and flaked off. It also got rid of that oily-but-flaky skin. You should give it a try!

What percentage nizoral did you use????

I know you posted this a while ago and I hope you've found something since! But I've had the same problem with my skin on my face too! It literally just seemed to come out of no where! And the sunlight and make-up made it look 10x worse than what it actually was. I would spend hours searching for answers online looking at remedies to cure it! And I have literally tried everything, I've bought expensive products, seen a professional dermatologist, made my own facial cleansers from natural resources and nothing worked! It was making me so self conscious and upset I literally thought I hit a dead end. My dermatologist told me that my skin is congested - which in other words means that the oil and dirt is getting caught up in my pores and as a result was creating these tiny little bumps, but no matter what I did I couldn't get rid of it. Some I could also extract but some I couldn't! EXFOLIATING is the WORST thing you can do for them, I've learnt from experience - it aggravates the skin I guess you could say, and makes them even worse and it somewhat "spreads". But I've found this new product called "Witch Hazel" - now the bottle doesn't say anything particular about getting rid of this problem BUT I put some on a cotton pad (after a warm shower that has opened my pores and after I washed my face with my normal cleanser - just use a cleanser as it will cleanse your face and the witch hazel will work much better that way) and rubbed the cotton pad on the areas that I have these tiny bumps - I went to bed - woke up and it was literally like magic! You will see such a difference just the next morning. I use it every morning after I've showered and washed my face and before I go to bed after I've washed my face. And as each day goes by the tiny bumps are disappearing and my skin looks flawless. Seriously! Go buy witch hazel, you can buy it from your supermarket or chemist (drug store) and it's sooooo cheap! It has literally been my lifesaver. And a bonus while its getting rid of these tiny bumps, my skin looks smoother and healthier, it's removed my pimples and it's toned my face. It's like a miracle product! Seriously go and buy it, can't stress enough how much it has worked for me and made me happy since. You might want to consider not wearing any foundation also while you're starting out with the witch hazel for few days as it can clog your pores and you might not see results! Good luck!

Hi,

I was having the same problem with you last time. I m not too sure what is the root cause but i ve read through lots of comments/ forum to find out the main reason. I've even went to see skin specialist. I m still couldnt find the real answer coz its tends to appear when i m too stress or when i put my make up on. Medicine given by the specialist only helps to clear my mini bumps temporary. Yes, its clear off totally but when i stop my medicine it tends to pop out again and i m so depress. I do not want to rely on medicine to have clear skin. Thats not the best solution.

I ve saw few posted witch hazel as one of the product solution and its not pricey. I ve bought the product online "Thayer's witch hazel- lavender". I couldnt find in any Malaysia mall or pharmacies. It seems the products are only available in western countries especially USA with cheaper price.

The result is incredible as it reduce my mini bumps over the time and my skin is getting better day by day. You wont see the result immediately but you can see the result after a week. I ve only use the product a week and i m so satisfied with the result. I m so thankful to those who has posted this as one of the product solution. Its really helps and i would like to recommend "Thayer Witch Hazel - lavender" to those who face the same problem like me. Pls give this a try as its not costly and its alcohol free. Its suits sensitive skin!

I had this problem for months, mostly on my cheeks, and I finally just got rid of it - and it only took a few days. I can't believe I hadn't read about this treatment earlier because it is so simple.

First I steamed my face with just water. Then I applied a deep cleansing clay mask, the kind that you mix yourself - Dr Hauschka makes a really good one. The mask made all the nasty stuff come to the surface so I was easily able to extract some of the bumps. I then applied witch hazel. I repeated this two days later and now the bumps are all gone! I did this a couple of weeks ago and the bumps have not come back, I'm going to do a clay mask every week just to make sure they never do. Now I just wish I could treat my acne as quickly and effectively......

Hi . i have these bumps too. but i noticed they reduced when i applied baby oil on my skin. i tried googling on this but nothing seems to work for me except the baby oil. i actually discovered it by chance. i had little itching on my cheeks near pimples. so i just found baby oil at home and applied it to soothe the itching. later i noticed that the bumps were reducing.

if u live in dry climate this wil be useful. i was originally from a rather humid climate and after changin my location (which is too dry) i had these small bums and also pimples. i am guessing my face suddenly become so dry that my skin tends to produce more oil. so just trick ur skin by applying oil on the outside. Do it for 2-3 days to see the change. and also drink loads of water because the dry weather dehydrates us a lot.

I am trying the witch hazel thing. Just started tonight. They only started around my left eye and it was a little patch, I noticed it around my right eye next and kept trying different stuff it seemed to spread them I got it a little on forehead and have noticed in 2 months time that it has traveled down my cheeks and is now starting on my neck, I used probably so many cleansers and masks and whatever else I could come up with but when I noticed them going away at one point, I couldn't remember which method actually worked or what and the thing is I actually had tried witch hazel and believe it had helped but at the time I was doing about 5 other things as well. I used it in the past, as it is extremely good for tightening the skin, (I am going to be 43 in about a month but even as a teen I never had acne that bad) My oldest daughter fought it for a long time now I know how she felt. I really feel good about this and thank you forwhoever postedon here. I was able to look this up and come to this website immediately.I will let you know if it works andit was such a simple solution to me to, I guess I was overthinking it .

Witch hazel from what I understand is a harsh toner. If your skin is oily, it will fair well with witch hazel. It's good a drying out your skin but if you don't have oily skin, I would recommend moisturizing with jojoba oil after.

Im having a similar problem with my forehead and cheeks. I don't wear makeup often (maybe once a week, if that), so I doubt it is makeup related. A YouTube channel suggested it being an overgrowth of yeast which that shampoo mentioned earlier can help, but a symptom is itchy skin. My skin doesn't itch. The bumps are just there and is more prevalent when I wear makeup giving me a cake face look.

Knowing that sometimes your skin can breakout when it is dry might be the cause. I'm going to try adding jojoba oil to my acne.org regimen. I must admit that sometimes I get so wrapped up in my life that I forget to do step 3 of my regimen. So maybe my skin is dry. I'll check back in a month about my results.

I too have these little bumps all over my face!!! I've had them for 7 years now. Sometimes it gets better but I've never been able to get rid of them. I've done endless amounts of research and I think it's one of these: closed comodomes, pityrosporum folliculitis, keritosos pilaris, or cosmetic induced acne. They all look sooooo similar I can't really figure out which one it is. I've tried retinoids and Aha, bha and even Nisoral shampoo. Nothing is working!!!! Mine do itch a little but not sure if it's because it's fungal or because my skin is just irritated. I have an Appt with my doctor this Friday and one with the dermatologist in August. This is what mine looks like:

Hi Shayne87,

I'm glad to hear that there's a possibility to attain clear skin! I already check the website also read some feedback from the users and all positive so far. I'm planning to purchase one this week. Thank you for letting me know about D'OXYVA! I'll give you an update maybe after 2 weeks?

Thanks!
