Age: 19

Sex: Male

Weight: 135 lbs

Dosage: 40 MG/ Day

Planned course: 5 or 6 months

After battling acne for 7 years, I have decided to start a course of Accutane. I'm currently on week 3. Note that the pictures don't do my acne justice. I have many red marks, scars, and blackheads as well as the currently active pimples that aren't shown in the photos.

One of the photos shows the scabbing (dried blood) that appears pretty often overnight. It usually comes right off after showering. I am pretty optimistic about the next 6 months, I think Accutane will clear me up nicely! I will try to keep this updated.

I used to have the bleeding too. :( thankfully I am past that stage and the medicine is working. Good luck and I hope it works for you too!

My nose has been covered in blackheads for a while now, but they are currently way more visible after a few weeks on Accutane. After doing some research I've found that this is normal. Hopefully they "fall out" soon.

Day 27 now..

Trimmed my beard with my Phillips QT4070 trimmer... the thing is great for people with acne.

Starting month 4 on monday. Still getting some breakouts and my skin is very easily irritated and red. I actually have trouble seeing red (I'm color deficient - can't pass any of those numbered color tests).

How would you rate the redness on a scale from 1-10?
