Acne Tends To Mirror Itself, Is This Genetics?

For some reason I have been getting acne on my forehead, but other than that I have only been getting acne 1-2 inches below and to the left and right of the edge of my lips.

Some reason my acne mirriors itself on both sides, if I go a week without acne the left side may get a zit, then a few days later the right side will get a zit. Then a week with no acne, and the process repeats. Is this genetics because I have no idea how to solve this problem. I used to never have acne when I was growing up but now its starting more when I turned 19 I am 20 now.

I think it's to do with the thickness of the skin, the size of the pores and the rate of skin cell shedding.

Your skin cells are constantly shedding and clogging your pores so it stands to reason that comedones in similarly sized pores will follow a similar life-cycle. It just so happens that the skin on either side of your face is more or less the same.
