Is It Safe To Use Blue Or Red Light Therapy While On Retin-A?

Before starting Retin-A, I used a Brightpad blue/red LED light to help prevent breakouts. Is it safe to continue using it while on Retin-A? Reason I ask is because I know that Retin-A becomes ineffective and also somewhat harmful(?) when exposed to sunlight. I've been googling and searching for a while but I cant seem to find a concrete answer. I'm just assuming that I should be safe and just discontinue using it or use it during the day when I can find a free window of time to do it.

I'm not sure anyone knows or will have a concrete answer for you, but I would suggest stopping the light treatments. Retin-A is a powerful topical gel and it's probably best to let it work alone, just remember it may take awhile to work, and it may even get worse before it gets better!

Yes it is good to use them together, LED stimulates healing and collagen production.

Phototherapy is proven to assist in healing after chemical peels.

Can you report your results with the Brightpad?
