I have such a bad acne on both sides of ma cheeks!! its been going on for 3 months! I went to dermatologist and they gave me 2.5% bp cream and antibiotics. before that I was trying out home remedies honey, lemon mask etcc but nothing worked. within few weeks itt spread like a virus :/ I want it to go in 2 months :( I feel so ugly.. I feel like every1 is staring at my spots and not me! I remember spots hurt so bad I couldn't even go to sleep. I was in desperate need for curing my acne so I tried organic soaps, different face wash but eventually went to dermatologist. I have never suffered from acne before just occasional spots.. :/ and I have been so deperassed about it I stopped going to my uni and socialising. this makes me feel horrible! I hate staring at mirror and even when my boyfriend touches or kisses my face I feel horrible because of all the lumps and bumps he must have felt! but we never talk abt it because it will upset me a lot!

Hey I completely get where your coming from! I recently started breaking out horribly, especially when the weather began to change. I do not know if this has a connection to it, but I have dry skin and ususally when the weather starts to change I tend to get a bad reaction from it and start to break out horribly. My acne at the moment looks very similar to yours. I started off with a few small bumps here and there. I did not think much of it, and actually decided to go the proactiv route which was a hugeee mistake. Turns out I am allergic to BP therefore my skin became completely inflamed and I started to get a horrible reaction. One of the first things that I learned from this is that it is important to not constantly change the products that you are using on your face. Your acne looks inflamed at the moment, therefore the best thing you can use to wash it with is either cetpahil, or a dove bar which are gentle, fragrance free and will not leave residue on your face. They also work in removing excess oil, dirt and makeup. Make sure you constantly moisturize your face as well, because the BP will dry out your skin, which can causeyou to break out more. I would also suggest to try to keep your hands away from your face, and try to change your pillow covers often, as the oil from your hair can get on your pillow, causing the bacteria to spread to your face. Also, if it is inflamed and painful, you can try taking an ibuprofen to ease the inflammation, and in turn reduce the pain. I also find applying ice on the face can help.

I know it hurts and it is hard to deal with. I am on the same boat as you, but try not to lose hope! Hopefully someday soon there will be a light at the end of the tunnel for us!

I started to get cheek acne about a year ago and it's terrible because your cheeks are the biggest area on your face. ):

But right now, my acne is really calm. Now, I'm not sure whether or not what I've been doing is working because I've started this recently, but what I've been doing is avoiding grains, refined sugars, and dairy -- just overall keeping a low inflammatory diet. I'm basically following the protocol for the Gut Diet. I've also been taking Zinc, Probiotics, and Flaxseed Oil. For a while I've been avoiding drinking anything with my meals and I also avoid eating fruit with my meals as well. Doing this has brought down the redness and the amount of breakouts. For me, I've figured out that diet is probably my problem, but for you, I don't know. I guess you just have to figure it out like the rest of us, but hopefully some of the information I've given you is useful.

I think my acne is due to a lot of factors! I moved out, got boyfriend (heavy smoker), changed face wash, changed my daily routine, stress, change in weather, ate different stuff all under one month lol so I think its the combination of all those my acne arose like CRAZY! Now I am trying to go back to my old routine.. I use Neutrogena cream face wash (twice), St ivies apricot face wash (once a day, I rub it gently just to lift off the dead skins), then I use toner (tree tea but it contains alcohol which isn't good for inflamed spots therefore trying to find pure organic rose water without alcohol), 2.5%bp than Simple or Neutrogena cream. the amount of products I bought was insane!! there was an organic soap I bought which worked quite a bit but I was a bit hasty to use it as i heard soaps are harsh for skin. it was called new dawn handmade soap tree tea with poppy seeds. I also have their patchouli soap I am thinking of stating to use it but I donot want to be washing my face 3/4 times with lots of different products. before washing my face I also wash my hands so the germs in ma hands doesn't spread in ma face. I always touch my face.. I know its a bad habit but I cannot help it so I always hand sanitizer and sanitise my hand often and also sanitise my phone so the germs doesn't transfer. believe it or not my cheeks was worst than that! the inflammation has reduced a lot!
