Introduction:

Hi! I'm new to this site (although I've been looking on it for a couple of months)

I'm almost 18 and I've have acne since I was 12

Skin basics:

Oily T-Zone

Hormonal Acne

Clogged pores

Discoloration

Cystic in T-Zone

Body Acne (SEVERE Back and moderate arms and chest)

Specifically:

I have closed comedones (clogged pores) all through my T-zone)

A lot of scarring and discoloration throughout (specifically chin and forehead)

I get Cystic acne on my chin and forehead and sides of nose (RARELY)

I never get acne on my checks on ON my actual nose

What I'm using:

CLEANSER: Cetaphil Daily Cleanser (Oily to Normal Skin)

TONER: Clinique Clarifying Lotion - Acne Solutions

MOISTURIZER: To be honest... rarely do I ever. if I do Clinique Acne Solutions Lotion or Cetaphil Light Moisturizer

PRESCRIPTION: Doxycycline Hyclate (100mg twice a Day)

SPOT: 10% Benzyl Peroxide (generic)

Mario Badesceau Drying Lotion

Clean and Clean Advantage Spot Treatment

VITIMANS: B12 and Biotin supplements

Otherfactors:

I wear makeup a LOT but have cut down on foundation and primer

I live in the midwest where it's FREEZING winters and hot summers

I am a senior and have recently been experiencing a lot of stress

I'm a vegetarian

WHAT YOU CAME HERE FOR

Clarisonic Mia 2 - Bordeaux

Sephora $150?

After hunting it down I finally got the Clarisonic Mia! I am a Chronic Skin picker and my closed comedones and black heads were brutally being picked apart with everytime I'd look in a magnifying mirror.

I've been on Doxycyline for a year (although not consistantly) mainly for body acne.

It came with:

SENSITIVE brush! (I would have gone out and bought this one if if didn't!)

Travel Case

Charging Cord

Instructions

Clarisonic Cleanser (which I'll never use)

FIRST IMPRESSION:

I put A LOT of the cleanser on my face AND the brush because I was a little worried... hah

I wet my face and the 20 seconds forehead/20 seconds chin and nose/10 seconds per cheek went by SO FAST

I thought it didn't clean my face as much as I normally clean it, so I rinsed extra well and it still felt like there was something on it.... I waited for it to dry and WOW it was actually just my skin being VERY smooth. My skin is normally impressively smooth despite bumps of actual pimples but this was WAY more silky than before. My skin feels very very clean and I'm sitting typing this resisting the urge to touch it...

The vibrating sensation wasn't that unique feeling? and I made sure not to press to hard or too lightly

Next time I think I'll have to more quicker on my large forehead.. I feel like my hairline where my makeup was wasn't that clean...

PICTURES:

I wear high SPF in the summer because of my antibiotic so sorry for my ghostly face! and my genetic bags... oh well

I'll take pictures in natural lighting tomorrow

I didn't know what to compare it to so there's a generic tooth paste!

It's pretty small and lighter than expected

My skin is bad, but not it's worst. breaking out on chin/sides of nose/forehead

HUGE nose pores that are clogged

My plan:

I'm currently breaking out from STRESS and consequently eating too many proccessed foods (particulary carbs and chocolate)

I've been off my workout routine and planning on going to the gym tomorrow!

I have NOT been consuming enough water!

I drink a lot of green and black tea and NEVER soda or sugary drinks

I have to start changing my pillowcase bi-daily!

Yes, I just started using it an hour before I made this post. It's the Mia 2, the only difference is it has two speeds and a timer for each part of your face.

I am using the Cetaphil, although they all come with a Clarisonic brand cleanser.

If you type into youtube: "Clarisonic gossmakeupartist" there is someone talking about the deep pore brush and how it didn't work with their skin unlike the sensitive one. idk it just sort of strayed me away from it
