Looks like we'll be starting about the same time, Tane partner. I got some pretty significant scarring as well but I'm not really going to focus on something like that while I still got acne. Gotta take one thing at a time or you'll just spread yourself too thin.

i took my first pill today! claravis. 30 mg once a day and once at night so i guess 60 mg total? I weight 117lbs gained a few pounds this week haha and my skin right now is very good actually because of the birth control pill. just one big cyst that is slowly draining out on its own since I dont squeeze my pimples. and a red bump on my forhead that is just there. weird.everything else just red scars

i just woke up and puked today. i dont know if its because of the pill or if im just plain sick. my voice has been really weird lately...

I'm sure it had nothing to do with the accutane. I woke up at 5 am in this morning for no reason and had trouble getting back to sleep for the first time in months. Body does different things from time to time.

i felt better throughout the day. wow guys I just developed a HUGE acne on the back. it was so so so so painful and its huge. but at least its not on my face or else I would cry...

btw. things im using. I use a facewash that i scrub into foam so its gentle for my skin day and night. Then I use toner, then lotion. then at night i put on retin-A and aloe for my scars. for day I put on aczone and clinic even better dark spot remover. Any suggestions ?

I don't think topicals go well with accutane. Or so I was warned by my dermatologist

I agree, my derm told me not to use any topicals except for moisturizer. The drug is si strong it will work it's magic on it's own. Your skin will be too sensitive to use topicals.

sorry for the dumb looks guys hahah im really bad at taking pictures of myself. but this is my skin right now. just one cyst acne that is on its way to be completely drained out. I dont squeeez my pimples so its taking a long time just coming out on its own. i think it will lead to a scar that is in a hole though... : ( sad. but anyways.

DAY 3

4 pills in. Nothing has been happening except for a pimple in the back which im happy because I am scared of IB. extrememly scared. because I feel like my skin right now is really stable and good. I dont want any red scars.. or any pimples..... i just wish i could fast forward 4 months and be done already haha.

my skin hasnt been dry at all. i dont think it usually start getting dry till maybe like 2 weeks in? and i think when it drys up its when the IB starts.......so scared!

Yeah I don't know really. I've pretty much just taken the mindset that I'm gonna have some pimples right now. Sucks but I guess it being winter break it's not that bad. That is if your in college I guess. I have till around January 8th to hide right now haha... Not that I'm that bad right now. I'm pretty much like you. A couple of pimples here and there but nothing too bad.

Have your pimples been drying up quicker and going down faster? Or you super thirsty all the time?

well its only day 4. I havent had any new pimples so thats a relief. and no drying yet. and ya i have until january 7 to hide! cept Im going to new york with my friend for a week on the 30th and im really hoping i wont have pimples when im there... im really praying for no IB since i think im pretty mild!

New Years in New York sounds sick... Are you planning on drinking much while on accutane? My doctor said not to do any liquor but I can drink beer some, just don't get fall down drunk... haha.

i finished my first pack. my skins is starting to dry up a bit , i get a little bit burning sensation when i put lotion on.

i have a new pimple and i think my face is getting redder.

i hope the pimple go away soon.......

ive also been eating super fatty food hahaha i guess i can use accutane as an excuse... it needs high fat food right?

I think my IB is starting. or just a bad day. I have one new pimple and one spot that is just super red which usually means a pimple will form... i want clear skin!

Sorry to hear about your breakout, I've been eating more unhealthy now too... haha. Should probably stop but I don't think there has ever been a correlation between my acne and food. I'm sure they'll be dried up and gone before you know it

Hey I started a day before you, already taking into account time difference, so I'll be sure to read how you go.

I'm on a smaller dosage, 40mg, but i'll build up, derm even said she starts some people at 20mg. I find it quite surprising when I read of people starting on 60mg or 80mg, easily 1mg/kg, when I'm starting roughly on .5mg/kg. Different countries, different methods it seems.

so i dont know if it is IB because actually I only have about 3 pimples on my face right now. maybe the worst hasnt come...

but i have one pimple that is really frustrating me. it has been 3 weeks and now its down to flat and healing but... it is still bleeding!

after 3 weeks it still bleeding is really frustrating...does accutane make healing slower?

my lips are starting to dry up but only a little bit. not too bad .

feeling tired..too tired to run but not super bad either.

Try moisturizing more, especially that spot. It's probably having trouble healing because your skin is so dry.
