Hello fellow acn.org members. I am new here, but I have a huge question. So I get pretty dry during the day at school and I have to constantly go to the bathroom to apply the DK moisturizer. I recently tried jojoba oil but that just makes my face look yellow like I spray tanned People are starting to realize, and thats why I started this regimen in the beginning. So guess my question is whether I should continue to use the regimen, or stop. I have been on it for about 2.5 months now. I do see some improvement but the dry skin and yellow face is way worse that acne. I also go camping a lot during the year, so I think I might just quit. I don't know guys, please help. Thanks in advance.

Dan's tips for dealing with dry flaky skin: http://www.acne.org/faq.html#dry

Alternate moisturizer suggestions. http://www.acne.org/acne-products-guide.html

Try those before giving up.

Okay thanks. It feels like I have tried everything. I don't want to give up, but it seems worse than just having acne. Thanks again.

Strange. I've been on the Regimen since last July and my face has gotten used to the products by the end of August.

Keep at it and fight through the struggle, trust me all the discomfort is worth it. I've been on this for months now and I only get spots (mostly small ones too) if I slack off.

Dude you should try CeraVe moisturizing lotion. NOBODY can tell that you have moisturizer on, plus it absorbs REALLY quickly. People would tell me that my face looked yellow until I switched moisturizers. Keep using jojoba oil, that's my holy grail, no moisturizer works without that stuff. STAY ON THE REGIMEN. Don't quit unless the cons start outweighing the pros!

Okay. Thanks for the responses. I must have been using too much jojoba oil. I just don't want to have to keep reapplying stuff to my face throughout the day. Does anybody know how? Will my face eventually get used to it so I won't have to? I don't know. Thanks.

You shoudn't just stop something that is working for you just because of the problem your having. Just trying to use it without the oil and apply the cream whenever your face feels dry. good luck man :)

There are definitely moisturozers that will work for you with the regimen- but I quit it- and my acne came back- but HALLELUJAH because Atleast my skin is no longer dependent on harsh chemicals that kill the top layer of my skin

I think I will start to use AHA+. Maybe that will help. Thanks for all the responses.
