Hi everyone.

I am very new to this site and acne. I'm 23years old and I never suffered from acne, up until two months ago. I am not sure what caused it or if it something serious. What I have exactly ,started out as few small pimples on the left side of my cheek, but they r all sorta bunched up together, now it a lot more pimples bunched up together on both cheeks and chin, but no where else. The best way to put it looks like when a baby gets a rash on their butt. I have just order regimen and waiting for it to come in the mail to see if it clears things up. In the meantime I'm using the same steps just with drugstore brands. Here are some pics of what it looks like, and what i looked like before it happen.

do you think this product will work for me?

I think thats some sort of allergic reaction. Have you seen a derm? I would get on some antibiotics, personally.

No I haven't yet,I don't have insurance at this time, so I would have to pay for a visit and then for the medicine they will provide. With hurricane sandy happening there still no power in some areas and everything very hectic. I am always trying to think of what happen two months ago that might have caused it but nothing really changed.

And I'm not allergic to anything and I use the same make up products, so it's a mystery.

if it is acne, there is a very good chance the regimen will work if you are religious about doing it EXACTLY as Dan prescribes, twice a day, every day. it works for most people if done correctly. be prepared for the side effects though. the first few months can be very rough. good luck.

Oh you're in NY too. Yeah its still a mess here. Good luck with whatever you choose for treatment. If you need a derm referral, I have a good one that I trust. Hes by the BMCC on Harrison st in Manhattan.

Thats very weird that this all of a sudden happened. It doesnt look like normal "acne" to me. I dont think the regimen would be good, and it might do more harm than good. Does your skin itch?

Your skin can become allergic to certain chemicals and products, even ones that you have been using for years, such as your make up. I would stop all the make up that your using, and see what happens. But i really dont think that Benzyol Peroxide will do anything.

Thanks ill let you know murph. I'm trying the steps with drugstore products and its only been a day and it looks like the pimples going away but it just really red , I'm going to give it two months, I'm patient lol. I seen people worse then me and it seemed to clear them out , so I figured y not. If it doesn't work , derm it is. I just can't figure out why this happen, it's so weird to me. For people who are using this method , what should I been seeing in the first week.

To me it looks like you have a rash...is there any pus/cheesy material in those bumps?

I'm just going to make an appointment, I don't want to try anything yet if I don't know what it is. I'll mostly go bankrupt trying to figure it out.

I wouldn't say you have zits... I think you just have acne... If there is a difference? It doesn't look too bad, it just looks somewhat irritated, maybe a product you used caused this breakout?

So I went to the derm he gave me solodyn and ziana. It's been 3 days and my skin is very dry and irritating from time to time, looks the same but flaky is occurring a bit. I have to go back in 4 weeks so will see what happens. He said its acne not a rash I'm just having a late breakout and its common.

Praying it helps if it doesn't , the he has to take blood work.

So it's been like a week and two days I think, and my face is way better , no more pimples really but I do have like small dots I guess of redness, not sure how long it will take until everything gone.
