Should I Use Retin-A All Over My Face?

Hi folks,

I am in my mid 30's and have oily skin with a few spots every now and then but never in great numbers at the same time. In the recent months it happened more frequently on the forehead but they never last more than a few days and then they dry out and leave brown marks that fade with time sometimes even on their own.

I went to my GP and he gave me Retin-A 0.01 gel for the marks.

My question is I am thinking of starting with applying it only to my forehead and not the whole face because although I have visible pores on my upper cheeks and nose and maybe one or two hyper-pigmentation from old spots there, that area do not bother me much.

So what do you think?

Thanks,

Th instructions say to apply to affected areas, so it doesn't sound like you need to apply it to your entire face.
