Hello everyone, i have been taking accutane for 8 months 20mg/day , and my question is can i take metronidazole 500mg 3/day for 5 days and accutane at the same time? since i know that both are metabolized in the liver im afraid that something could happen, my derm said that it was ok but im still worried
Little late to this party, but I just wanted to chime in. I was on metronidazole within the first month of starting Accutane. Don't remember the exact dosage, but it was pretty high. I was on a 60mg dose of Accutane at the time. I had the same concerns, but my PCP and my derm weren't concerned about it and I had no issues.
