So after reading a bunch of reviews on using lemon juice to treat hyperpigmentation (of which I am an extreme victim) I decided to try it out. It seems most people have been using actual lemons, but I was wondering if pre-bottled lemon juice would work. The little red flag for me was the label reading "from concentrate with added ingredients" right below the "ReaLemon" logo.

Will bottled lemon juice work or should I not even bother?

Well I would probably still do the job…however the results might be significantly less and or a lot slower.

So, if you are going to use lemon, might as well use the real things and then you will at least know for it will work!

The bottles of lemon juice ive seen are from concentrate, and have preservatives in it. Some of them even have food coloring! Just stick with regular whole lemons. They are cheap and you wont risk anything bad happening from added ingredients that are in the bottles.
