How Soon Do Hypertrophic Scars Appear?

I have a hypertrophic scar on my shoulder from years ago when I got a mole removed. If I remember correctly, it formed within a week of getting it removed - my mom says she remembers lifting up the bandage after a week and it had formed.

Now, I fell off my skateboard about five days ago and hit my chin on the pavement. It bled a bit, then formed a scab within the next day. Most of the scab has now fallen off and there is light pink, slightly shiny skin underneath. It feels like normal skin and looks flat but its shininess worries me. Is this normal for skin underneath a scab? And would it have already been raised/puffy if it was going to be a hypertrophic scar?

It is normal for new skin to be shiny, so dont worry just yet.
