[Pictures Inside]Is This Acne Or Folliculitis? I Feel Like I've Almost Every Acne Solution.

I'm 26 years old and still fighting acne...sigh*

So for 10 years, I've been on anti-biotics, topical medications, and tried several OTC products, and did accutane. Accutane actually cured my acne, but after a year later it all came back. When it came back, i tried using BP, which worked for about a year, and it made my skin age, and dry, then when it stopped, I went to see my dermatologist and was prescribed retin-a and clindamyacin. The clindamyacin made my skin rash, and I had red patches so I stopped that, but continued using retin-a, which worked for a few months, but it made my skin too sensitive, and my "acne" or whatever it may be started to come back. Then I figured I should go organic. I was using Marie Veronique Organic acne kit, which basically uses tea tree oil, jojoba oil, and many oils in combination to treat acne. The MVO products seemed to make my complexion better, and maybe some of my acne went away, but after a month of using it my acne was still coming back. I also had taken vitamins, b complex, b12, c, e zinc, fish oil, etc that all supposedly promotes skin care. And I have no idea if those are working either.

And the last and most recent thing I have tried is use lemon juice + rose water for acne treatment, and aloe vera juice as a moisturizer. In a way, going organic was much better, but it hasn't cured my acne. The lemon juice most definitely has helped my blackheads and tightened my pores, and somewhat slowed down break outs, but i don't know if its completely working or not.

I have a feeling that whatever solution i did sparked another problem. Perhaps using all of these chemicals on my face and making my skin sensitive caused it to break out in another way. Anyway, I figured that maybe the problem is that I'm treating my skin problem as acne, and rather that it could be folliculitis and i should treat it as that. here are some pics.....is it acne or folliculitis?

If it is acne, then what other treatments should i try? Because I have no idea what else to do, except to go on accutane again. However, the unfortunate thing is that accutane gave me some really bad side effects and i don't think my body can handle it too well anymore.

I forgot to mention that the acne I had before accutane is very much different now.

I had really huge painful cystic acne which caused a lot of my scars now.

The acne I have now isn't nearly as bad, and although they still under my skin, it isn't nearly as deep. Its a bit more superficial.

With that said, that is also another reason that maybe i don't have acne, and what i have now is something different.

Check the thread under my sig. Hope it helps ya.

i don't think there is any hope for those of us who took oral antibiotics (maybe accutane)?
