Fourth Time Lucky 50Mg Moisturizer Question Male 23 Uk

Recommended Posts

Hi there, I am into my third week of my fourth course of roaccutane been prescribed 50mg to start with. 23 year old male from the UK. The dryness has started again. I have been using given doublebase gel which works really well on the body but not ideal for the face. So after looking alot online I decided to go with Cetaphil moisturising lotion. Bad move. It lift my face really shiny/greasy looking. The cetaphil cleanser is really good however very gentle on the skin.

So looking for recommendations on a good moisturizer that is non comedogenic and roaccutane friendly, that doesnt leave a shiny look on the face.

Oh one more thing do you guys moisturise directly on active spots/cysts or should I stay clear of them and moisture around the area? ( yes I know I should really should know this by now after being on tane three times already haha)

Any help or advise would be great. Thanks

I've been using toleriane fluide from la roche posay which seems to be working for me. Before that I was using the simple light hydrating moisturiser (I think it's called that) and that worked fine too.

I bought "Olay Essentials Complete Care Daily UV Fluid SPF 15 100 ml" on the recommendation of another forum member. Seems quite nice/light to me and has the benefit of some sun protection. However, I admit I am no expert when it comes to moisturizers as I had never used one prior to starting roaccutane a few weeks back!

Thanks for the replies

I decided to order some CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion (12 oz) after reading some decent reviews. Being from the UK however means that is cost me 29 dollars to get it to me. Hopefully it is worth the hassle.
