Desmond 0 Posted August 31, 2012 Hi everyone, this is my first post on here as you can see. I just want to clarify a few things about my experiences on accutane. I started in late January on a 20mg dose, before progressing to 40 and then to 60. So I'm due to finish in a couple of weeks time but you wouldn't have thought it if you looked at my face unfortunately. My main concern is the red marks that feel smooth but just don't seem to be fading. Also, on both cheeks I have these small lumps. While the one on the left has gone down considerably, the one on the right is showing no signs of going and is very red. So basically I just wanted to know if this is common and when/if the red marks, lumps etc. will go? Cheers for taking the time to read!

Accutane is completely drying, so if you're not moisturizing regularly your skin is not going to heal very fast.
Desmond 0 Posted August 31, 2012 I moisturise twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. I'm basically wanting to know how much improvement I can expect to see from now until I'm finished and then how much improvement I can expect after I'm finished. Green Gables 517 Posted August 31, 2012 I moisturise twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. I'm basically wanting to know how much improvement I can expect to see from now until I'm finished and then how much improvement I can expect after I'm finished. There isn't a way to quantify that. It depends on your genes, your diet, your environment. My recommendation to you would be just moisturize and not look at your face looking for improvement. Let it be. If you really want something extra to help fade the red marks, try a little lemon juice every few days.
