undertow 0 Share Posted October 1, 2004 I have a dry skin problem. i dont seem to be tolerating Retin-a mirco .1% well because it is really drying me out. so i want to try Differin because it supposedly is gentler. Well, I personally didn't find differin particularly drying, although if you are finding Retin-A micro dries you out, you might find differin drying also. Have you tried applying a moisturiser a few minutes after applying Retin-A? The best to use with this method is pure emu oil (available fairly cheaply on ebay) - it won't clog your pores and helps the retin-A penetrate more deeply into the skin.If you don't want to try this, I'd speak to your derm about the dryness - they may be able to prescribe something more gentle such as duac or benzamycin.
