Second day of 50% TCA peel

Ok I'm going on my 2nd day of spot treating with 50% tca. Today there is one large spot which is purplish/gray in color where I applied the tca- is this normal? The rest of the spots are dry & red but nothing compared to the purple/gray area. It resembles a bruise in color, is this typical & if so, how long before the purply color fades? Guess I just need reassurance here that everythint is kosher!

Yes, this happened to me. It turned a grayish purple color and I was quite worried. Once it turned into a scab and fell off, it looked like normal skin again aside from the lingering redness. Don't worry about it.

I'm planning on touching up some spots with 50%. Did it sting/burn a lot? Have you ever done 50%'s before?
