How Do You Treat Your Skin When Exercising?

Recommended Posts

I know it's not good to wash too many times a day and that it can irritate your skin. But what about when exercising? Do you wash your face like you regularly would after or just leave it as it is?eusa_think.gif

Well just wash it like you regularly would after excercising. I shower and clean my face at night after working out. To get all the sweat off

I shower once on days off working out. Then just do a light washing before bed.

I shower twice on work out days using a body scrubber.

I usually workout in the morning twice a week, and wash my face with a mild cleanser which I usually use to wash my face. Sometimes I workout during the day, but I still use my cleanser to clean my face...to make sure no sweat left on my face.

I rinse it with cool water after and then at night I do my usual.

Wouldn't cool water close your pores and trap the sweat in them?

I prefer warm to keep the pores open. Then cool after I have washed with soap

I usually work out in the evening after work, so when I shower and wash up, that's my nightly face-washing. On the days where that doesn't work out, I just wash my face midday, VERY gently. My facial cleanser is a soap bar with only 3 ingredients - olive oil, water and sodium chloride (salt) - and an extra, gentle washing doesn't seem to irritate me. I only do it on occasion though.

I never use soap on my face so it's probably a bit different in my routine. I don't worry about closing my pores, I clean them out enough each morning and night with castor oil and/or indian clay.
