Light/laser Treament Whilst On Topicals?

Recommended Posts

Are any of the available light/laser treatments allowed to be used in conjunction with topical treatments? I'm currently on Duac and Differin, but feel my skin needs a boost due to what I believe is resistance to the clindamycin in Duac. I know that topical treatments can make the skin photosensitive, so assume I would need to come off the topicals before undergoing any laser procedures. Are there any exceptions to this?

You need to stop ANY retinoids, AHAs, peels, at least 2 weeks before laser treatments. Also you should not have been on any form of Accutane within the last 6-8 months.
