Blackheads That Are Not Black?

Recommended Posts

I'm a 17 year old male and I have these weird blackhead looking things embedded in my face. I don't think they're actually blackheads because they're not black and it usually has a layer of skin on top. It's extremely hard to extract with a blackhead extractor because of the layer of skin on top. However, sometimes the "ripe" ones will pop right out after a hot shower. The size can vary in size but they're relatively tiny. I get them all over my face and body (nose, cheeks, jaw, chest, back, upper arms). It's kind of yellowish in color when it comes out.

It's really annoying because it makes my skin look all bumpy and they tend to get infected and turn into nasty pimples. What are they and how can I get rid of them? I tried pore strips but it doesn't work because of the layer of skin that sits on top of the "blackhead" prevents it from sticking to the strip.

Can anyone help me out? Thanks!
