I've been wondering if there's a problem with my digestive system

I'd like to know many how many times a day should we be going

and what should it look like? should it be dark or light and should it float or sink?

Also what foods and drinks would help you go naturally?

It depends on the timing from individual to individual. A healthy stool should float, not sink, and should not be dark, it should be light in color (the dark it is the less digested it was/or food coloring as well). Foods that help, prunes, a lot of fiber, the white part of watermelon...
