no my friend, dirt doesnt clog pores.

dead skin cells+overoil production do.

u can try and see, just get dirt over your face 24/7 for a week and you will see no diffrence in acne.

If dirt did clog then every animal, all our ancestors, and even homeless people would all be havnig acne. However overwashing does cause breakouts.

Acne is mostly isn't caused by outside effects, unless if you are allergic or sensitive to certain chemical you are putting on your face. It's what you eat and how your lifestyle is that affects acne plus several genetic factors like allergy and intolerance.

Wow you guys kind of got off topic a bit. Actually, dirt can cause your acne to get infected. So, don't go roll in the mud...

To answer the original posters question, yes it's very beneficial to exfoliate your face with a washcloth when you clean your face - be careful not to scrub too hard though - be gentle! You should wash your face twice a day, once in the morning and once before bed. You should use lukewarm water, because extreme temperatures like freezing cold, or burning hot can be bad for your skin.

Just wet your face, then take your cleanser and massage it into your skin for a bit (some people even let their cleanser sit for a minute or so on their face...) then scrub it off gently with your wash cloth, then just let the water rinse over your face at the end (or thoroughly splash water over your face if you're doing it in the sink).

do you even understand why and how pimples form? srsly, why just giving misleading information so that now people that are already obsessed with their skin will also start being obsessed with keeping it clean all the fkn time? why? how is dirt causing pimples to form?

nothing wrong with washing your face, but it has NOTHING to do with acne, NOTHING.

Dirt has nothing to do with with the formation of acne - but it can cause existing acne to become infected (the kind that when you pop them it hurts and they have lots of puss). Acne is literally an open wound on your face...it's best to keep acne and ALL wounds clean and disinfected.

Also, the purpose of washing your face is to remove excess OIL (which DOES cause acne), and also to exfoliate dead skins cells (which DOES cause acne). No one actually said we clean our face to get rid of dirt...that's more of just an added bonus.

Yep dirt dose not cause acne it could aggravate it thats true.

Actually we wouldn't really need to wash our face really if we have a healthy lifestyle since we'd have just the right skin with no over production of oil and cell reproduction.

Without oil, our skin wouldn't clog. Dead skin cells are naturally dry and just fall on their own. Look at our arms, our tummy, they are flawless, some of us don't wash them everyday yet still flawless. We NEED the dead skin cells, they act as a protection layer for our skin. They clog when there's oil, and oiliness is caused by internal imbalance. THEN when clogged, bacterias could get in, which our body fights it with our white blood cells.

Washing them strips away the essential sebum, which then forces the skin to produce even more oil because you are drying the skin. Using cleansers dries and irritates it even further. Plus they contain many other chemicals that could cause several other problems.

Overall, Water is the best thing for our skin. Most moisturizers actually does dry your skin, or irritate it instead of helping. Just simple forms of oils are best moisturizers, chemical ones out there won't do any good.

Everything we need to maintain superb health was already in our nature, it was already made. We aren't smart intelligent and efficient as nature. It's us who changed the aspect of nature, causing many problems and changes that is affecting our lifestyle and causing diseases. Then we try to treat the diseases that we made and spend thousands of dollars trying to find a cure.
