Can anyone explain this? I ran out of my disposible single-blade BIC shaving blades for sensitive and used a new triple-blade SCHICK. To my dismay, I woke up the next day with two bumps on my face! Could that have been caused by in-grown hairs?

In grown hairs occur when you shave the hair below the skin, and the hair curls up under the skin.

I used to get them all the time.

Heres what you do to avoid them:

1. Use an electric razor. An electric doesn't shave as close as a regular razor, thus decreasing the chance of hair getting cut below the skin.

2. If you have to use a manual razor, try to get one with only one blade. The more blades, the closer the hair gets cut. So if you go over it with 3 or 4 blades, chances are some will end up under your skin, thus increasing the chance they are ingrown.

3. Only go over the area once. Don't shave the same area twice or more. This essentially has the same affect as step 2.

4. Shave in the direction the hair grows. For most men, this is down. For some reason, the hair along my jawline grows in different directions. 95% go back, with some going down. Its a pain in the ass. And that is where 99% of my ingrown hairs would end up.

Thats about all I can think of. I personally use an electric razor, and I haven't had any problems for a while now.

just follow the shaving instructions in the regimen and you should be fine....i was already using the sensor excel razors recommended and they are the best i've found. Just use those and only shave with the grain.
