few days ago i had a derm appt. i asked my dr about these red spots on my cheeks that won't go away (i've had these since 2010 when i had a horrible breakout). when i saw him last november, he said they were papules. but when i saw him a few days ago i asked him about them again and he said these spots are called macules..cause they're all flat now. he said they were formed by when my skin was trying to repair itself from the bad breakout a couple years ago, it pushed all the blood vessels to the surface..that's why the spots are red. he said they will eventually go away with time (im guessing it'll take a looong time) or with lasering. i don't have enough money to do the lasering. but is there some way i can speed up the fading process? like is there any food that can help with macules/red marks? or anything i can put on the macules to help with fading?
