Sluijs 2 Share Posted February 11, 2012 Hee guys, Yesterday I went to my dermatologist and when she saw my face, she was freaking out because it was really dry. And she said to immediately stop to use benzyl perioxide. I am just in the first week of the regime and my face is quite sensitive and the winter is not helping me at all! So what to do? Stick with the regime and even prepare myself for more dryness and flakiness or.. follow her advice and stop to use the products and only clean and moisturize a lot? Let me know what you think =) Greetz, katja
Radovan 1 Share Posted February 11, 2012 Follow the regimen. I've been listening to 4 different dermatologists and no one helped me with acne. The regimen is helping. Maybe you started too fast with benzoyl peroxide, reduce the amount a little bit and then increase it slowly through weeks. Dryness is normal, it will decrease once you adjust to BP. Maximus Decimus Merideous 73 Share Posted February 11, 2012 yeah id follow the regimen. A lot of Derms who don't specialize in acne reallyyyy don't know all that much about it. I had a derm a long time ago who was supposed to be one of the best in the city. He prescribed me a BHA wash in the morning, a BP wash at night, retin a, and a sulfur cream...do you have any idea how brutal that is for skin? lol
