Ditto.

I use 'biore's pore pack', and it gets rid of whiteheads/black heads but then they come back 3/4 days later and I have to do it again. Vicious cycle. mad.gif

I had blackhead extraction performed on me - it cost £65, so it wasn't cheap, but it worked a treat. I don't think there is any other method that is certain to get rid of blackheads.

Basically, the extraction was a sort of 'glorified squeezing' - it was performed by Julie, the acne specialist at Bio2 clinic in Leamington Spa (England) - and it was on my back (although she does the procedure on other body parts, including nose)

Firstly, she applied a papaya and pineapple enzyme mask to my back, followed by a hot, steamed towel. Then she carefully extracted the blackheads using two cotton buds for each blackhead. There was a slightly uncomfortable pressure for every one, but it was not painful.

She extracted around 100 blackheads, and showed me 25 of the ones she had removed - it was gruesome, I am so glad to have gotten them out of my body!

Afterwards, she applied a honey enzyme peel and then a cool, moist towel, which she left on for around 10 minutes.

I felt great afterwards - it is a fantastic feeling to know I have finally gotten rid of those stubborn things! biggrin.gif

Get some boiling water in a pan, then cover your head with a big towel and keep your face over that pan with hot water. That would create kind of a small "steam room" for your face. Keep it like that for some time, make sure you give you face a good steam bath. Then, you can gently squize black heads out of your nose.

Help me a lot.

Best regards...

Blackheads are such a pain! drinking a lot of water helps in general but topically salycylic acid may help (but i'm sensitive to it damn!). My derm said topical vitamin a works best, better than SA or glycolics but then you have red/flushed skin so thta sucks.....I think enzyme masks or oil based cleansers meant to wash away completely may work...I mean black heads are oil so if another oil mixes with it technically they could wash away. I read this from a famous facialist Marcia Kilgore founder of Bliss...remede is a product line that has a rinseable oil based cleanser..I tried it once and it did rinse completely clean...
