The Blackheads On My Skin Wipe Out My Confidence (Pics Included)

I have seriously tried EVERYTHING and not just for like to weeks or so, no, I have given everything I have tried up to YEARS! Proactive- about 2 years and it only started my descent to a face full of blackheads... literally! I wish all I had was red pop-able pimples, but those damn blackheads make me look UGLY under almost any light and makes me look like my pores ARE HUGE and they make me look older. I hate them so much. Just look at the pics. (I know some of it is from shaving and the hair is growing back, but look at the cheeks!)

For now I am trying Mandelic Acid. It has been a week and it has peeled my nose. I don't know if thats a good thing, but the black heads are still there.

When I walk down the street, you can tell people like how I look from far away, but once they are up to me, they see all those dots on my face and they look down. That is the most horrible feeling I have ever felt. Feels ten times worse when m own family does that to me. I'm too ugly to look at. Pretty girls smile at me from far away but stop once I'm up close to them. My personality is okay and girls do like me despite my face, but they don't get into a formal relationship with me because I think they are ashamed (and I'm not going after prom queens here!)

What those blackheads are doing to me is horrible. I can't ignore it when it dominates my life. I work out hoping at least I'll LOOK fit, but it is the face people see first so who am I kidding.

When I confront my family to just be honest with me they tell nothing is wrong but the expression on their face and their eyes tell a whole different story. Look at the pics I attached. I know I took them with my Nikon without flash and zooming in, but thats IS how I look like. Those are all enlarged blackhead filled pores. Tell me what you think. I want to take some at school to show that I really do look horrible. Stay tuned for that.

I had to re size the pics, but if you are curious and want to see the full quality let me know. I truly believe my issue is unique (though not the only one suffering from it).

to me it doesnt look that bad from what I see in the pictures but I know in pictures ur skin can look a bit differnt. I had alot of black heads on my nose and retin a micro has reduced the blackheads on my nose but I am still breaking out from the IB. Retiniods reduce pore size and helps with clogged pores so maybe you can give that a try.

It's really not that bad... just a few clogged pores and enlarged pores.

The ones on your nose are likely to be mostly sebaceous filaments, which are mostly permanent. You can try topicals like b3 gel and silicic acid, or nizoral (and others out there) to help reduce their size, and retinols/retinoids help to an extent, but the only thing that really gets rid of them effectively is accutane from what I know. If you have the money, something like fraxel could help improve the overall texture, but it's normal for people to have pores in their t-zone, and you're better off learning to be happy with your skin in it's current state, since it's pretty darn good honestly! Best of luck with whatever you pursue.

How are you going with your blackheads?

I too have suffered pretty badly with blackheads and tried EVERYTHING.

They are slowly getting better...but still not to what I want. they do make me look older or gross me out when I look up close and also lose my confidence.

I am planning on doing micro and a strong peel and hope this works.
