Question About Numbing Before Fraxel Re:store

I know you put numbing cream on for about 45 minutes before the actual procedure but my doctor said they also use needles to numb you. Are these inserted after the numbing cream? I hate needles and i can only imagine one being shoved into my face. If they are after the numbing cream it shouldnt be too bad i would imagine

From my experience with numbing cream, it doesn't actually negate every sensation, including those of needles.

Needles, in general, though, don't hurt, at least from my experience with having injection into my lesions. They sort of pinch sometimes, but sometimes I don't even feel them.

Although I don't know for sure, I would assume that a medical assistant would put the numbing cream on when you got there, and the doctor would administer the shots when the skin was numbed. The easiest way to know for sure is to call the office and ask them specifically. You can always ask to have it done the way you want.
