Im Here! Combo Treatment (1 Year Giving It My All)

Recommended Posts

I'm a new poster, but I have been a long time lurker. I have left my job. Saved some money, and I am devoting 1 full year to improving my scarring, and in the process hopefully saving my life. I am in an attached relationship with a wonderful woman and have a great family that fully support me. I have mostly shallow scarring, but there is quite alot of it. It's probably not as bad as I think it is, but it really eats me up inside. I feel like I can't reach my fullest potential if I don't do something about it. Enough about me for now. Lets get to it.

I will start by having SUBCISION (3 to 4 sessions, more if need be) and follow up with suctioning using a NUBRILLIANCE home microderm system with a modified tip to adress shallow rolling scars on and under my jawline on both sides of my face.

I will be having MEDICAL ROLL CIT (dermaroller) treatments also. How many and at what intervals I dont yet know.

I will also be having sessions of TCA CROSS for some very small, mostly shallow boxcar scars.

Finally, as a finishing touch i will have a full face DERMABRASION 6 months post subcision and TCA CROSS. And finish up with ARTEFILL semi permanent filler as needed.

I am open to your suggestions, and will provide approximate time frames soon and regular updates as the journey progresses. I WILL take before and after Photos, as well as regularly during the process. THEY WILL BE PROVIDED AFTER ALL PROCEDURES HAVE BEEN COMPLETED. Also, if any are curious, i will be using different derms/surgeons for each procedure. IE: specialist for DERMABRASION, TCA CROSS, ETC.

P.S. Save the dermabrasion hate.

good luck you also want to look into recovery methods for example/ led lighting / vitimin c pills / copper petit / or bio oil for all the best stuff for your skin to recover.

Yes, some before pictures would be great as soon as you can post them so we can get an idea of how "bad" your scarring is.

In my opinion you should pursue a combo treatment rather than sequentially trying one treatment after the next.

Thanks for your "opinion", but I have my own opinions on how I should treat MY scarring. What makes you the resident expert anyways?

Combination treatment doesn't necessarily mean doing multiple treatments at once. I AM having a COMBINATION of treatments to treat different areas and types of scarring. Thus I'm having COMBINATION treatment. LOL, should I do them all at once,LOL. I dont think that would workout favorably.

For any following this thread I am having my first subcision on Friday the 9th of November.

I WILL absolutely provide before and after pictures. The before pictures have already been taken. I will not post the before pictures until AFTER i have completed my treatments.

Alright, that's some mentality I absolutely encourage! What made you leave out laser treatments?

For now, and for the type of scarring I have, I dont believe that any type of laser would benefit me more than dermabrasion. Im not leaving it up to the derm or surgeon to decide what type of scar treatment i should have. No matter what they all have a specialty or machine to pay for that they will push you towards. The treatments I have selected, I believe will work best for my skin and scarring. I do believe that the whole key to my treatments is building up the scars as much as possible through subcision, TCA cross, and Dermarolling. Then following up with dermabrasion, to hope fully erase alot of the shallow scarring and help regularize my skin texture. I am dealing with very few deep scars, and even they are probably moderately deep at worst. The problem I have, is that I have alot of shallow scarring. Most all of it can only be seen in the right lighting. I only want to have to do this once, I've already wasted alot of life worrying and fretting over acne and scarring. I'm gonna kick these scars ASS my way and on my terms.Period.

seriously, some of you guys are a joke. I have issues because I don't think highly of the opinion of some guy on an internet forum and what HE thinks I should do to MY face. It's as if softly thinks I am jumping in to this without doing any research or giving it any thought. I think I know what's best for MY face. The problem I have is reading and lurking in the scar forum for the past 4 years I have stumbled across several of his posts and to me atleast, he seems like a know it all. NONE OF US ARE EXPERTS. Im going to do what i'm going to do. Hopefully it works out for the best, if it doesn't, at least I gave it MY all.

If you want to give advice on recovery options, etc., feel free, but I will NOT listen to people on a message board tell me how to treat my scarring. I have done my research and will stand pat with the treatment schedule I set up.

That's right. However, I think softly is, like many on this board, very impressed by the combo treatment of Ernestoria. For many this is the 'miracle' treatment.

You have chosen a very remarkable set of treatments, which is good. Who knows what the results may be :)
