Redness!? Help Me Please!

Recommended Posts

Anyways, I'm only 15 years old and I recieved a acne/pimple on my face. As stupid as I am, I started to pick at it.

It became very little red so I started to become obssed with it and put toothpaste, lotion, and peroxide.

I wiped the toothpaste off and took a showever after about 15 minutes

When I woke up the next day it was still the same.

So this time I decided to put toothpaste on my face and go to sleep at night with it on. When I woke up I had a HUGE red circle surronding the pimple where I popped it as if It was infected. However, I highly doubt that its an infection because it's not warm, and it dosn't necessarily hurt. However, its very red!

My mother says its just Raw skin and I should keep putting lotion on it.

I have been, and it seems that it has gotten a tad bit better. However, I want to know if there is something else I should be doing instead.

Any help would be good help! Thank you!

Have you ever gotten toothpaste around your lips while brushing your teeth? I know I have. It always makes the skin around my mouth red. Toothpaste is irritating, that's why your skin's red.

Its just one little zit. Leave it alone and it will go away on its own.

Well I know now.

I should just know that I'm a teenager and I'm going to get acne sooner or later and I wont be the only one with it in my school. Lol.

However, It's not that I have zit anymore. Its popped! Its just really red around the where the zit had popped on my chin!!

My guess is that it's red because you picked at it.

I've been on Dan's regimen for almost three days, and I'm seeing improvement on moderate acne by just being gentle as can be, like Dan explains.

For one zit, next time, just leave it alone. It will heal on it's own eventually and you'll save you the headaches of red marks/possible scars in the future.
