Over The Counter Face Wash + Negative?

Recommended Posts

Hi There,

I've been using Clean and Clear daily exfoliating wash for going on.....6/7 years now!

I use it twice a day, once in the morning and once before bed.

I feel that it might be doing more bad than good because I only ever get spots in the area that I use it (around my mouth/chin area) with the odd 1 or 2 popping up now and again on the side of my forehead or cheek.

I also notice that when I go on holiday to a hot country that area doesnt get tanned at all in fact it's very white in contrast!

Has anyone else had a similar experience or could give me some advice?

I want to give up using it but don't know whats going to happen and I absolutely hate spots. They've made me a very quiet and shy person since I was about 13/14 and I'm now 23?!

Many thanks

I don't know about you, but when I use a face wash or product for a long period of time it usually begins to lose its effectiveness. It's like my acne gets smarter and finds a way to produce despite the medication, similar to antibiotic use. Sometimes switching it up is what my skin needs. You might benefit from the change.
