So I've been trying to drink 8 or more glasses of water every day since sometime around the end of June, and I know that staying hydrated helps your skin cells stick together. Is all this water intake affecting the effectiveness of retin a? I'll have areas on my face where it looks like the whiteheads and blackheads are pretty much gone, but then I'll notice some pop up. Is this normal or is all the water I've been drinking causing some of the blackheads and whiteheads to appear?

I believe the pinned post above states that because of temporary cell break down a person will experience initial breakouts.

I don't believe it is the water.
