Anyone need some encouragement? Before and After

I thought I would make a post with some before and after photos to motivate any of you who might be getting discouraged. The Regimen is a pain in the ass when you first start it, and it can take a long time for people to see the full results. But don't give up on it! It does work, and I can't tell you how happy I am that my skin is clear!

I started the Regimen about 6 months ago. I followed it religiously until about 1 1/2 months ago, when I started using it only once a day. No problems doing that so far, but I've also been on Spironolactone 100mg every day for about 4 months, so that could be helping as well.

I did not notice the full results until about 2 1/2 months ago (3 1/2 months on the regimen), but now my skin is perfectly clear. I haven't broken out at all in over 2 months. I think I got a teeny tiny little pimple by my mouth a week ago, and I do have some red marks, but they're fading, so yay!

I use 1 pump of Purpose Cleanser, 3 pumps of Dan's BP, and 2 pumps of Cetaphil Lotion once a day. Like I said, I haven't broken out in over a month just using it once a day, so hopefully that will be all I'll need. We'll see.

I only have a dark webcam pic of the before, because, you know, I didn't exactly want to take pictures of myself during that time. I'm even embarrassed posting this here. You can see how bad it was though - cystic and all over my cheeks and chin. Even on my neck (I don't use BP on my neck BTW, but I don't get acne there anymore either).

BEFORE

Aaaand after!

AFTER 1

AFTER 2

Hope that helps some of you feel better! Just give it time to work and do it exactly like Dan says in the beginning.

EDITED TO ADD: Not wearing any face (or eye either, I think) make-up whatsoever in the pictures.

Thanks for the taking the time to post your success. I'm about 3 months in and still breaking out, but not too badly. Thanks for the encouragement, and your skin looks awesome!

Wow, that's amazing. How long did it take for your marks to fade? I've used BP in the past and just started again. I feel like it gives me lots of marks and they take a long time to fade.

I am so happy you posted this!

I am on my 5th week of the regimin and its been such a roller coaster. There were times I wanted to give up , but people like you who post this makes me stick this up. I am still breaking out and I have some deep scars. Its so hard for me because I am so use to have perfectly clear skin and all of a sudden 6 months ago, my face went in a horror. I cant be seen without make up. Its all red and scars and it makes me soooo self conscious.

I will be strong and stick it out.

I do the regimin to the T and I just started Using AHA, which I have a feeling its going to work well. Did you use AHA?

I would be thrilled if by the third month, my skin was as clear as yours. You look gorgeous and you can tell in the picture that you are so happy. Its amazing how much you cleared.

Thanks for so much for the motivation!!

Your skin looks great.

Did you use AHA? Also, how far into the regimen did you stop breaking out? I had a horrible initial breakout/purging period with tons of whiteheads that left a lot of scarring. Did this happen to you and how did you deal with it?

Thanks guys! I was hoping it would help. The difference is truly amazing, and it's so nice not to be ashamed of my skin.

In regards to the questions:

My red marks are still fading, though they are hardly noticeable now. It's kind of weird since I have very pale skin and I always used to pick (and I scar pretty terribly on other parts of my body), but they're managed to disappear for the most part rather quickly. My skin is by no means perfect, but I am happy to say I can (sometimes) go outside without make-up now! It's an incredible feeling.

I do not use AHA, mostly because I can't afford it right now. I have heard good things about it though. But yeah, I only use what I listed above. Works for me!

I didn't stop breaking out until about 3 1/2 months into the Regimen. I had some clear-ish weeks and one or two weeks where it flared up horribly a few weeks before it cleared up completely, so that was very depressing. I just stuck it out though, and it paid off! There was nothing I could really do about the breakouts, so I just let them run their course and tried not to pick them.

It's definitely worth sticking it out; I know it can be tough in the beginning. Don't give up! You'll be so much happier when it starts working.

HERE is another picture that I felt that including because I look better in it. =)
