Topical application of garlic

Recommended Posts

I've been eating raw garlic with good results the past several weeks, and today I tried applying it topically for the first time, with an apparently good result. This morning I noticed a red spot just beginning to form above my upper lip. I took a small clove of garlic and crushed it onto a paper plate. I rubbed my finger in it, coating the fingertip with garlic juice. I then applied the garlic juice to the red spot, rubbing it on with my finger. It stung at first, but the stinging only lasted about a minute. I left the garlic juice on for several hours, after which I noticed the red spot was fading. It is now 9 PM and the red spot is almost completely gone; it won't become a zit. Garlic appears to be effective applied directly to the skin.
