Freshly popped pimple: how to make the blood/red/swelling/etc go away?

Recommended Posts

Hey

First off, looks like a good community so I hope to get some help :) thanks

Just popped a whitehead with a needle (it resisted itself) and after, pinched till I got it all out.

I'm aware you aren't suppose to pop them but I personally can't resist. I haven't looked for tips before so this is my first time. How can I reduce the swelling/redness/etc? It needs to be a quick timeframe and nothing fancy (quick but cheap and not as good working as official treatment is what I'm looking for; homemade)

Thanks everyone and I hope to return more times to the site to enjoy the community.

^ From that, I don't recommend the medicated ointment or the band-aid; both pose issues for my skin.

Your skin is highly sensitive then; not at all the norm.

I stated I don't recommend it based on personal experience, as adhesive always bothers my skin (not just my face, everywhere because of having to pull it off) and those ointments always contain ingredients that are comedogenic.

Polysporin does not have comedogenic ingredients. Neither does Neosporin CREAM. ;)

First, thanks to everyone for their nice, constructive and helpful replies.

Ill try that link to the thread and see how it goes.

It has now developed to a black spot (I imagine with blood inside also known as a scab). Try to rip that off which I think will help with the ice on removing the blood/swelling.
