Guest Scorpioness Share Posted September 1, 2004 I have taken guggulipid with no improvement to acne, plus it made me feel lightheaded and weak. Whatever you do, don't drink alcohol with it! I got VERY sick by doing that, and so did a few other people I knew from another board who took it. I wouldn't recommend this, but perhaps it would work for you. evigrex 0 Share Posted September 2, 2004 Guggul is theorized to increse t4 to t3 conversion - which is why some people claim it can be beneficial to repairing existing acne. But, there are tons of studies showing that it makes no difference whatsoever to thyroid function..so I wouldn't bother with it.Most supplements (except the basic ones like a multivitamin) are pure snake oil...don't bother with them. Trust me, i've spent my fair share on them and it was all a waste of money.
