Experts out there, I've got a question:

Both topical retinoids and BP fight acne but what are the differences?

I'm currently using retinaldehyde (a step below retin-a) at night and BP to spot treat in the morning.

Any retnoid helps your skin shed faster. The idea is that for some people the reason you get blocked pores is because the dead skin sticks to the cell walls. Especially when you have oily skin and or dry skin for that matter. The retnoid will always help fade red marks faster.

BP reduces the bacteria on the skin which causes acne. If you don't have to resort to bp I would stir away from it unless you have severe acne. Its hard to get off BP and its quite irritating for some. If I knew what I know now I would of never used any harsh chemicals or anything drying.
