Differin & Spironolactone

Recommended Posts

Biggest mistake of my life was taking too many Plan B pills due to my insane paranoia of being pregnant. I figured that after a few weeks my acne would go away and my hormone's would finally settle down, but boy was I wrong. I went though pretty much all of the over the counter products nothing worked. I tried going on Yaz for a few months, didn't seem to work too well for my (I only tried it for 3 months before I gave up). I started to form cystic acne all over my face and of course having been extremely impatient I popped them, made it worst, and scared my face ... erg.

Finally, my dad told me to go see a dermatologist, they put me on Differin and Spironolactone which was used off label but has been proven to regulate hormones. Im currently taking 2 tablets twice a day (25mg tablets). Differin took about 2 months before it really worked on my face. It made my face worst the first month than it started to get better within the next month. It left scars on my face but now its slowly fading away.

Currently what I do is: 1) 2 tablets of spironolactone twice a day 2) apply differin 0.1% at night right before bed 3) drink lots of water 4) work out 2-3 times a week 5) use DDF sulfur mask from Sephora once a week 6) wash my face once a day with Boscia purifying cleansing gel with the sonic brush

All of this helped sooo much! and now my face is 100% better. I still have some scars but they are fading and aren't as bad as it used to be. Hopefully this helps :)
