How do you know AcneSlayer wouldn't do it? Not being fake either. It was a nice thing to say.

Granted, if we were to organise something - hypothetically speaking - AcneSlayer might not be able to do it depending on the location/distance, but that wouldn't mean she wasn't being genuine.

Plus, some of us would be able to do it. For example, masg is in the UK like me and, were we to ever arrange a group meeting or something over here, I'd be there.

masg never saw an issue with what AcneSlayer posted or that I quoted it, so there's no real need to be making something of it. :eh:

Hey don't be fake to him,, even when people are pouring their hearts out. Don't try to suggest something that you know damn well. YOU,yourself will not do. IF you dont have an ounce in plan to really meet up and party then dont say it do it. Action speaks louder then wonders.

I think we should all fly out to wherever masg lives and party it up with him for his birthday :D

Thank you Paul!

And bmwstud21: just shut up, please. I'm not fake, and I thought it was a cute thing to say. Just trying to cheer the guy up. Quit trollin'.

I think comparisons are a deadly thing to do. Even if you got rid of your acne you'd find another fault, everyone is self concious about the way they look, even if you looked like a celebrity you would worry about something and never be content.

Acceptance is a difficult thing, I don't even know if you can ever do it 100%, but I think you need to start finding ways to accept rather than change yourself. And instead of focusing on friends etc, you need to start giving yourself some real time to find out who you really are. As you do have a personality, everyone does, just sometimes we ourselves smother them. This isn't useful in the slightest, but I do understand what you mean about celebrities. I no longer watch tv and read magazines as I get a pang of jealousy.

Also I have to say AcneSlayer always brings some wonderful positivity to everyones posts, she puts a lot of effort into helping others. She is sincerely not fake.

Oh yea? But have you actually seen their skin up close? Nope. There skin sucks...most have a lot of scars...p.diddy suffered from bad acne. Check my girl Alicia Keys acne, holy shit....even Angelina Jolie...and brad they both got mad acne scars. Victoria Beckham....horrid. Rihanna had horrible skin back in 07' she had bad back acne too. Just google it and enlarge the pics. They suffer from the same shit. Yet they have money for their make up artists and the surgery to hide it.

I fucking hate celebrities, never cared about anything they do.

Don't be sad. Your acne will heal it takes time to find the right method. I can't you cause shit you aint dyin. Either am I. We all aren't....most people just need to brew a nice big cup of confidence and self worth. Honestly. No one can ever take that way from me. Not even acne.

xo your cute, don't loose it.

you think what p.diddy had was bad acne?!

And he does not have any scars from it... but if he does, would love to see a photo.

Pitt definately has scars, but his bone structure and handsome face makes up for it. Jolie has scars?!!?!

and i agree about the celebrity thing.

I hate seeing celebrities... like these heirs to fortunes (was recently on forbes) who are good looking... have the money... and the skin.

lucky bastards

And yet their personalities aren't as nice as ours :)

Money makes you spoiled for the most part anyway. I think, when it boils down, its gonna be the experiences you had, whether you had clear skin or a nice car or what not, that will be the most reflected on in the end. So I suppose you shouldn't let your skin judge them (though Im not one to talk) . Though I totally understand where you are coming from.

dude, the key thing here is to do things slowly. im sure u want to achieve some things that u mentioned i.e. better skin. well, you've gotta work at it slowly. if skin is your main issue (which i'm sure is a lot of peoples on this site), you've gotta work at it. take it slowly, and eventually, you will get improvements. no matter how bad your skin is, everyone is bound to get a bit of improvement. as well, being motivated and especially staying that way is also key.

If acne is making you angry and despairing, focus that energy into a positive for yourself.

I myself when i was a teen got very depressed about my acne, so i started working out. This is a great depression lifter as it produces endorphins and serotonin in the brain. It can also give you a great body if you stick at it.

I also learned the correct technigue to throw punches on a punch bag and to shadow box. This is a great way of releasing anxiety and anger. It also learns you self defence, which will build your confidence!! :).

Search youtube for tips on exercise and boxing.

I googled 'celebrity acne' I feel SO relieved seeing the results. I really admire Cameron Diaz! She suffers from problem skin and still she is so beautiful and happy looking - very inspiring.

What uni are you at Masg? Which course you doing? Hope you are feeling OK!

Try not to feel so down, a happy attitude is infectious and cause people to respond just as positively. Some days, I feel rage like that. I feel so angry and pissed off. So I don't smile or make eye contact with anyone and I feel more blue and lonely. Then there are days when I feel really positive and happy, I try smiling at strangers and paying people compliments, it really lifts my spirits! Give it a go? :)

. Totally agree about Cameron Diaz. Regardless of how she looks - an event where she knows she'll get snapped, or a candid shot where maybe her skin isn't so good - she still seems like a really fun person and someone you could hang out and have a laugh with. It's the bright eyes and the big smile which give that impression. The condition of her skin is neither here nor there in the respect that it doesn't take those characteristics away. By the same token, we shouldn't let our skin influence our own personalities or define who we are. Gets me thinking... I wonder if Cameron's on the Org, under an alias?

Keep seeing this topic pop up every now and again which is cool because it reminds me of how far I, masg and others have come in recent months. I used to feel just the way masg described in the opening post but in the end I just figured it was a waste of energy. It was negative and it was bringing me down. Fact is, the resentment about it all is far uglier than the acne could ever be

I totally agree with Paul (we agree about everything - Brit bias), rage is an ugly trait AND the stress and anger is probably not helping our acne!

Cameron is definitely my new girl crush. In interviews I've always thought she has the most down to earth appealing personality. I've never particularly noticed her skin before because her inner light and smile is SO big! Also she has an awesome rig which doesn't hurt :)

Awesome! I am at Newman in Birmingham studying primary teaching specialising in Art! I love drawing and painting but my teacher says I need to challenge myself so I want to work on digital art. I want to buy a MacBook but unfortunately I do not piss money. What computer do you use for yours? Can you show us some of your art?

That is tragic that you havent smiled for years! Try watching this without smiling...

I'll be honest, I clicked on a random point in the video, heard the word, 'penis', and burst out laughing. Yeah, my sense of humour is actually that of a child!

There are some really creative people on the Org. There are a few creative topics in the lounge, but I think you can only post in the lounge one you've posted 120 times and been here 60 days. Think that's right anyway. Some really good digital artists here as well, Abigail. :)

The good thing about rage, and whatever other negative stuff acne might put us through, is that it's great for art. Can channel it. Especially if you draw or paint or make music. I'm a photographer and find it kind of hard to channel the anger into that, but it's still a pretty decent outlet. I think I would probably have it reflected in my subjects if I were to do portrait work, but of course, I'm usually too shy to approach people I might like to work with. Pretty much the only way to get known is to be amongst people every night taking pictures, but I let my skin get in the way of doing so... I'll figure it out one day.

Don't get a macbook, you're paying an extra 1k because it looks nice. Just make sure you get a graphics tablet (wacom intuous3 or 4) and atleast 2gb of ram ;)

I can help you more specifically if you want. I saw that sex song a while back and I smiled, but then I got sad on the inside, doesn't take much to bring me down >.<

Yeah I can't believe how expensive they are!! The thing I like best about Macs is that they are less likely to get a virus, and I seem to be more susceptible to getting a virus than an old person in an NHS hospital.

I'll PM you my email address because I want to see your art! Also if you ever need to talk just email me :)

Lonely Island are my heroes! I wanted to post you jizz in my pants but couldn't find it...

How are you feeling today then? x

You know what I hate? The bloody celebrities on the proactiv advertisements!!! Screw you Katy perry!! Actually I like Katy perry lol but honestly everytime I see those celebrities advertising Proactiv I feel like throwing the. Controls at the tv. They sit there complaining and acting all depressed about their so called "acne" and they zoom in on their pictures and it's a tiny collection of bloody 5 of the smallest pimples I've ever seen in my life. Are you kidding me..... ? If you're going to promote an acne product try using someone that actually has full blown severe acne because we're the ones that deal with more crap. Grrrrr.

Anywho! Masg- I know how to get rid of those blackheads on your nose!! I had same as you the whole entire nose was covered with them!! It was so disgusting and bumpy. Tried everything until I started taking this medication call Akamin for acne and also used a topical cream call epiduo. I think it was more the cream that got rid of them. Now my nose, forehead, and chin are soo smooth! You can still see the open pores a bit but theyre empty! I'm so amazed never thought it would go away. Unfortunately it did not fix my severe acne on my cheeks and neck but that's because I have a crap liver. Your liver. Cleanses your blood etc And if it ain't work as well as it's supposed to

The toxins will come out on your face. I went to a naturopath and that's what she said so I'm taking some stuff she gave me to fix my insides. As for the outside I wanted to attack that too in hope of it clearing faster. I just started roaccutane this week.

Have you tried any of these Masg??? It takes a couple months to clear up apparently but you know what? If it gets rid of it for good then it's worth the wait. I've been hibernating in my room for months too only leaving to go work and that's fine with me I'd rather live like this temporarily than see other people. People say they don't judge you etc etc but that's not the point!! It's how you feel that matters, if you feel insecure when you know people can see it nothings gona change that. Not even someone saying to you flat out "I don't care if you have acne".

The only solution is to keep on striving to get rid of it. Try everything and anything.

Man I've tried like EVERYTHING. It's true that not everything works on anyone cause everything I've tried people have sworn by it but oh hullo... Didnt work on me. Too bad keep trying.. Hopefully what I'm doing now works.

What kinda stuff have you tried Masg? If you don't mind me asking

Oh that's a positive mindset. You're in control of your life; you can make it however you want it. If you want to not have a great life, then that's your loss.
