pls excuse if already addressed - gen accutane now

Recommended Posts

im just curious if generic accutane is even being rx'd currently

im a former l/t accutane patient (> 20 yrs 1983 - 2003)

who had stopped and also had to switch doctors

my former derm allowed me lg count rxs and use discretion

just re began derm visits after 4-5 year remission

having to switch derms my new dr seems averse to prescribing

generic accutane

ive asked a couple times for a proactive (pill) rather than reactive (topical) treatment approach

the dr wont go for it sort of dismissing the question

the topical retin-a does work very well but leaves 'burn' spots

and it's just a drag seeing new ...

so i am wondering if any readers here are currently prescribed generic accutane

any reply appreciated

Yes, in fact generic Accutane is used much more than Roche's original "Ro/Accutane", which is not available in America anymore.

Generic and original "Accutane" are essentially equivalent and have the same active ingredient.
