TCA vs Glycolic vs Lactic Peels: A Breakdown

Its my understanding that the harshest is TCA then Glycolic then Lactic.

Also it seems that TCA is the best at getting rid of hyperpigmentation. Is that true?

I know it sounds stupid but most glycolic acid comes from cane sugar and most cane sugar is GMO.

So I'm a bit put off by that, but in the end results are what matters.

I have relatively mild marks so I dont want to go nuts and f up my face any more by using too strong a peel.

Thanks

TCA should be the best. For reference heres the ingredient list for Vi Peel.

* TCA - Trichloroacetic Acid for penetration, deep scar healing;

stimulates collagen growth;

* Retin-A - acid derived from vitamin A to combat wrinkles;

* Salicylic Acid - this beta hydroxy acid (BHA) is an exfoliant;

* Phenol - has antiseptic and anesthetic properties;

aids in skin penetration;

* Vitamin C - ascorbic acid has antioxidant and mild exfoliation properties

I don't have any true "scars".

Only PIH-type redness.

So the way I see it, I should either do a very low percentage of TCA, or something like a glycolic/lactic acid peel.

Is the Vi peel a good idea for someone like me who has no scars and a milder case of hyperpigmentation?

I've gotten lactic acid peels (six of them) and they worked very very well for my PIH. TCA's are super harsh and (in my opinion) too much for just mild PIH.

Cool, do you think a mix of glycolic and lactic would work well for me?

I really need them gone in 3 months time.

If you only have PIH I'd just do lactic acid peels.
