Broken facial veins

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone

I'm hoping someone out there can help me with a question about broken/dilated facial veins. I have these on my cheeks and around the sides of my nose. Is this always a sign of Rosacea? I don't have other initial symptoms like the flushing but the skin does appear reddened in these areas due to the dilated veins.

Thanks for any advice!!

Broken capillaries/thread viens are unlikely to repair once they have been damaged. Even people who do not have rosacea, can get broken capillaries. The most effective treatment for broken capillaries (and redness or flushing) is Vbeam laser or IPL. Candela Vbeam Perfecta is known as the gold standard laser and I highly recommend it; you would need 1-2 treatments if broken capillaries are the key concern. It has an excellent safety profile and is not in any way a skin resurfacing laser (i.e. It protects the epidermis, and just targets the blood vessels).

Best, Shantelle
